Day 20: “Depend on Your Dentist; Maximize Magnesium"

Written by David DeRose MD, MPH | Jun 6, 2023 2:51:49 PM

If your dentist isn't a vital member of your healthcare team, things need to change. David DeRose, MD, MPH, presents evidence that helps demonstrate how good dental health can help you stave off a heart attack, a stroke, and more. However, even if you take excellent care of your mouth and get regular dental care, you may still be able to improve your cardiovascular health by increasing your intake of magnesium. Although these two topics may seem unrelated, Dr. DeRose, shows you how both are key to improving your "Methuselah Factor" (DeRose's term for hemorheology or blood fluidity). This short video promises to help you and your loved ones commit--or recommit--to a healthy lifestyle.

Day 20's Challenge: Make dental health a priority by getting regular dental exams and engaging in daily oral hygiene; increase your intake of magnesium (provided you neither have kidney problems nor use magnesium-raising medications).

Note: Each of the last 30 chapters of Dr. DeRose’s book, “The Methuselah Factor,” provides complementary day-by-day materials to assist you during your thirty-day journey.
